Education Presentations

Celiac Disease (CD) is a very common, yet greatly under-diagnosed disease. According to the 2004 NIH Celiac Consensus Conference, approximately 1 out of every 133 Americans has Celiac Disease. Of that number, 97% are not yet diagnosed.

A primary mission of the CSA Denver Chapter is to increase awareness and education about Celiac Disease in the local community. To further this goal, the Medical Education Committee of the Denver CSA developed a short presentation offering a concise overview of the current understanding of this complex disease.

This presentation is appropriate for doctors, nurses, other medical personnel, food service personnel, community organizations or others interested in learning more about Celiac Disease.

The presentation will take no more than one hour and can be scheduled at your convenience. Reference materials appropriate for professionals and for patients will be provided.

For more information or to schedule a presentation, please contact Diane Moyer, M.S., R.D., C.D.E. at 720-560-3734 or send email to: DHMoyer@juno.com
